Moving Forward
Moving forward or going nowhere. Those are essentially our options as a congregation in a thriving community. We’d like to think that forward movement simply happens, but we know better. We are moving forward every year, every month, every day because we, together with our leaders and church staff, have committed ourselves to forward motion. The future lies ahead. We’re doing what we can to make the future at Zion great!
A pastor is led by God to be trained to guide, lead, and encourage the people of God in their faith and to equip God’s people to continually reach out to those who do not yet enjoy the love which God has for them and the gracious gift of forgiveness that He offers to all people.

Kim is a lifelong member of Zion and is usually the person you see first when you visit and hear first when you call. If you are having a bad day, call us and Kim’s joy and cheerfulness will certainly brighten your day.

Tina enjoys listening to and playing Christian music from all eras of the Church—ancient, traditional, and newer pieces—which all bless us to remember the love of God and to share it with each other as only music can.

Facility Administrator
Claudia is a busy wife and mother, but she has a great eye for detail and excellence. She ensures that everything is ready to go for all our worship services, community involvement, events, and experiences.
Our Higher Groundz Staff is devoted to sharing an inviting atmosphere and ambiance where all people can gather to enjoy great espresso, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, smoothies, snacks, good conversations, and create new friends.

I graduated in 2010 with my degree in Elementary Education. I taught “English as a Second Language” (ESL) to adults for several years and third grade at a Christian school before we had our oldest daughter. My husband Jeff and I have three young children and they all have attended Preschool at Zion!! We love to travel and play outside as a family. I love music!
Mekdes Asaye
Assistant teacher
Mekdes has such a gentle spirit and a loving personality. Her daughters are part of our Preschool program and they all bring so much joy to our classroom and Preschool Family. She is currently taking classes to become a nurse!
Shannon Lugger
Assistant teacher
Shannon is a mother of three boys and actively involved in children’s ministry outside of our Preschool, including Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. She is just as active as her sons and very patient.
Kim Dent
Assistant teacher & office manager
Kim has a passion for children and for sharing the joy of Jesus. She grew up here at Zion and has been involved in children’s ministry for over thirty years. Her two children are now grown up, but she has stayed young at heart and fills everyone around her with joy.
